That is absolutely badass! Beautiful engine and awesome sound. Putting that thing on the dyno running pump gas and putting out over 740 horsepower is absolutely mind bending!! If this thing was dynoed with a race fuel tune, I have no doubt this thing would be well over 800 (n/a) horsepower!.. Absolutely phenomenal!! No wonder why the hemis were afraid of this engine.. the hemmies had nothing on this engine. Great job!!

It it had been anything everyone claims it would still be here today.

Yeah its a cammer , but its a damn nice example of a cammer as well.... Beautiful engines they are indeed. An elegant tool designed to do bad things .Doesnt get any better , it just doesnt...

Ive heard rumors thru the years that SOHC's were prone to breaking timing chains. When the cams cease turning - one or more cylinders will have valves down when piston comes up. That aint good. I dont kno if that rumor is true. But i did notice Ford didn't use cammers in their GT 40 Le Mans cars. I am forced to ponder why.
